“Forever improving the lives of animals in our community” TCRAS is a small rural rescue/shelter located at the base of Pikes Peak in Divide, Colorado. As a limited-admission shelter, we give every animal that enters our doors the time, medical attention, love and training they need until they are reunited with their family or adopted into a new forever home. Each year, over 800 dogs and cats in need; lost, abandoned, homeless, abused or neglected, find loving hands, warms beds and nutritious meals at TCRAS. We actively participate in a Trap, Neuter & Return program to provide our community cats with spay/neuter/vaccines so that they can continue to live in their colony free from disease. In addition, TCRAS transfers in from high euthanasia states and shelters to give these innocent pets a second chance at a forever home. Tcras does not receive government funding other then the small contract to care for animals seized by our County Animal Control Officers. We rely on generous donors, fundraising & grants to continue to fulfill our mission of “Forever improving the lives of animals in our community. “Thank you for taking the time to learn about our small but mighty shelter!
