Rescue K -911 is a non-profit, no kill, and all volunteer run animal rescue service in the Midwest. Our mission is to rescue pets that have been left with no other options. K-911 is their last chance at life. We spay, neuter, and provide medical care. We board them at vet offices, boarding facilities, and foster homes until we get them adopted into the loving forever homes they need and deserve! We pride ourselves on finding the right fit for the right family. Let us help you find the best friend you\’ve been searching for, the best friend that needs you more than you know. Rescue K-911 believes that no matter what their size, shape, or story, all dogs deserve the chance to live long, happy, and healthy lives. That’s why we work hard every day to be a lifeline to a better future for these pets. Because we know that with a little support, people and pets can build a bond unlike any other, creating happier lives for all involved.Approximately 7,500,000 animals enter shelters nationwide each year, 2,500,000 of them will be euthanized. We do not currently have a rescue facility. So we rely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers like you who open their hearts and homes to help us take care of our furry-friends that desperately need a family to call their own.We are also proud to have a branch just for the kitties! Rescue K-911 Street Cat Edition! We believe that the cats are often forgotten or ignored in rescue. A lot of the reason for that is because there are so many of them. A huge goal of ours is to focus on TNR (trap, neuter, release). In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats. The cat overpopulation issues are out of hand, this leaves no room in shelter when people want to surrender their cats… therefore they dump them, 9 times out of 10 they dump them unaltered. So not only are we hoping to help with overpopulation as much as we can, we are hoping to help the kitties that are used to being with a family… find a new one.
